At Swiss Bureau, we like to say every project has its roots — and here, those roots belong to the date palm. Commissioned to design the new HQ of Al Barakah, one of the region’s leading producers of date products, our task was clear: craft a workplace that blends tradition, innovation, and just the right touch of understated flair.

Inspired by the date palm tree — a cultural symbol of resilience and abundance — we created a 9,380 sqft, two-level workspace in Dubai. At its heart stands a sculptural volume clad in Desert Board, made from recycled palm leaves, both a design anchor and a bold nod to sustainability. Around it, a palette of sandy neutrals, muted greens, and caramel tones evokes the desert at dusk, offering a serene backdrop for daily work (and the occasional coffee-and-date break).

We also introduced a generous lounge, a space for hosting clients and informal gatherings. Natural finishes like earthy bricks and abundant greenery root the design back to nature — the very foundation of Al Barakah’s story.

The result balances industrial honesty with natural warmth and minimalist sophistication. Subtle biophilic details and layered textures ensure the office not only functions beautifully but also embodies Al Barakah’s identity and ambitions.

In short: an HQ rooted in heritage, designed for the future — and bound to spark a little cubicle envy.

Remat Al-Riyadh sophisticated office design for their 110,000 Sqft headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, spans seven levels and a ground floor. The ground floor, as the main entry point, and the executive-level seventh floor, were designed with a focus on luxury and refinement. Initially leaning towards a raw design, the client was persuaded to embrace a concept that better reflected their company’s sophistication. The design incorporates elements of elegance, calligraphy, and the city’s oasis-like setting, blending tones that honor the city’s legacy while looking toward a promising future.

Al Barakah Dates, a leader in the date industry, sought to create a new office space with an industrial design concept that captures the essence of their brand while reflecting the softness of date shapes and scents. The goal was to establish a welcoming and open environment that exudes tranquility and connects to the natural landscape, particularly the desert and palm trees. The design combines industrial aesthetics with a light, natural palette, fostering a bright and inviting atmosphere.

Inspired by the desert and palm trees, the concept incorporates natural textures, materials, and organic shapes to evoke intimacy and a sense of escape. Textiles and wall art are carefully chosen to mirror the tree’s bark and fronds, further enhancing the connection to nature. Situated within the factory premises, the office design integrates industrial elements to ensure harmony between functionality and its surroundings.
