SARA Group HQ Shortlisted for Commercial Project of the Year

The design narrative draws inspiration from SARA’s corporate values in subtle ways. Through thoughtfully placed elements and a careful fit-out process, the new interior design paints an enduring theme of connectivity within its walls. Flexibility and creativity blend with corporate culture transparency to form a series of activity-based workspaces for an inclusive and interactive space.

Swiss Bureau Interior Design & Build Shortlisted for Interior Design Firm of the Year

The third time’s the charm! Having won the Highly Commended Award for this category the past two years, we’d like to stick to this sentiment. 2020 marked a momentous year for Swiss Bureau as we were acutely aware of the pressure the last year has put on us all as we navigated remote work, projects placed on hold, stressful delays, and a restless global pandemic within the interior design industry. Conflict drove some crucial decisions, and amid particular hells, we found the resolve to continue moving forward. United as a team, we not only survived the challenges thrown at us, but we managed to make it our best year yet in the company’s history! This nomination goes out to our entire team!

 

Zoe Victoria Allen Shortlisted for Interior Designer of the Year

In only six years with Swiss Bureau, Zoe has seen the company grow, and she along with it. From a Senior Designer to Design Manager, and today as Design Director, Zoe’s dedication to her work has ingrained her place as a valued asset to the Swiss Bureau Family. Her natural ability to build on trust between client relations and the team has resulted in her delivering over 50 projects to date, expediting the success of our business as Swiss Bureau reaches toward our goal of targeting higher caliber projects we have fortunately won these past few years. We are thrilled to see her nominated for this award!

Joakim de Rham Shortlisted for CEO of the Year

Not only the CEO, but Joakim is also a Designer, Creator, and a Dreamer. Founder of an incredible company built on a solid vision and foundation. With empathy, authenticity, and a relentless focus on strengthening his team and culture, Joakim drove Swiss Bureau Interior Design through unprecedented disruption to genuine transformation over the last 18 years, with much of the evolution credited to the shifted perspectives and procedures implemented this year alone. Today, with a sole focus on developing his role as CEO, Joakim’s continuous passion has taken him and his team on an exploration of new beginnings, leading his team towards excellence in creativity, design, and project management. We are so excited to see him nominated for this honorable category!

About Design Middle East Awards

Celebrating the creative best and foremost from the region’s design and architecture industry, the annual Design Middle East Awards will honor the year’s top architects, designers, projects, and firms. The ceremony will take place at Sofitel The Palm Dubai on October 31, 2021.

The award ceremony with various categories will strive to recognize the individual excellence, company strengths, and project success. The awards presentation will take place at a five-star venue followed by the ceremony and gala dinner.
