On a typically bright and sunny Dubai afternoon in May, Swiss Bureau welcomed the new editor of Commercial Interior Design, Oscar Rousseau, into our Bay Square offices. Upbeat greetings were exchanged between Joakim de Rham and Rousseau, and with coffees prepared and in hand, the two enthusiastically shared a moment converging on their Swiss background.

There is something remarkable that happens when meeting someone of a similar cultural background; such rare encounters of another half Swiss does not happen often in a place like the Middle East, and can often bring about the best of conversations! Naturally, with their collective love, passion, and knowledge of the design & build, fit-out, and construction industry, with little effort, the two divulged into the complexities of competition, the rebrand, how Swiss Bureau has grown, our new team members, and what the future has in store.
