Emirates Room – United Nations in Geneva

The Emirates UN Room in Geneva
And the fourth!
The Emirates Hall at the United Nations in Geneva has just received its fourth award. After The InAvation Award, the European and the International Property Award in 2017, the project was also awarded the Honor Award last April. The winners of the architectural competition, interior architects Siavosh Adeli (Adeli Interior Architecture and Partners, Lausanne) and Joakim de Rham (Swiss Bureau Interior Design, Dubai) worked closely together on this renovation project. On the ceiling, a structure represents the sky of the Emirates which evolves above the heads, reproducing in real time the brightness of a day. The perimeter of the room is composed of sand-colored wooden panels and the carpet on the ground resumes the characteristic orange hues of the Abu Dhabi desert.
